Many of the inaccuracies in PAYE reconciliations for retired people involve the mistakes with government–generated information such as:
· Inclusion of non-taxable state benefits;
· Incorrect State Pension figure;
· State pension included even where it had been deferred; and
· Married couple allowance not restricted to 10%.
