VAT scamJanuary 10, 2012 If you have recently set up a new company beware of letters asked for a payment of £320 to register on the ‘Intercom VAT registry’. This is a scam so do not respond. If you have fallen for a similar scam in the past, you can report the fraud on the Action Fraud website. This lists all the scams it is aware of, and lots of useful advice for avoiding fraudsters.
