Anti-money laundering regulations

June 3, 2011

Do you need to be registered with HMRC under the anti-money laundering regulations? All accountants, lawyers and currency exchanges need to be registered either with their trade body or HMRC, but so do the following types of businesses:
- Casinos
- Estate Agents
- High value dealers
- Trust or company service providers.
The last category is applied to any business that: ‘provides a registered office, business address, correspondence address or administrative address for a company, partnership, or other legal person or arrangement.’
