PAYE underpaymentsOctober 18, 2010 If you receive a PAYE reconciliation form (P800) check the figures carefully as mistakes in allowances and income do occur. Where the form shows tax underpaid of less than £300 you won’t have to pay that tax. Higher amounts will generally be collected through your PAYE code for 2011/12, or HMRC will make a separate payment request in 2011. You can ask for a longer time to pay if you need it.
